The only way to clear the search text box is through the device's keyboard.

Most apps place an "x" button at the end of the text box to clear it.

Well, backspacing with the keyboard, but on a reflex I looked for the "x" button since I got used to with modern apps. Is not a killer either, bit I thought it was worth mentioning since the 2.0.0-alpha version looks flawless.

I'm using 2.0.0-alpha version, as mentioned on a Moto G8 Power with Android 11.
