Drop support for old nodejs versions (req v14)

Description

Removed some dependencies that are no longer needed. This will require new nodejs versions. the functionality stays the same.

Any update on this PR? I am having some issue with buffer-equal-constant-time, should I create a small PR only to remove the dependency?
