When I try to run the following command to train the playroom dataset provided by the 3DGS repository:

python train.py -s ~/Documents/datasets/playroom/ -m exp_playroom/release -r 2 --use_decoupled_appearance

I encounter the following issues:

(gof) xxx@xxx:~/Documents/gaussian-opacity-fields$ python train.py -s ~/Documents/datasets/tandt_db/db/playroom/ -m exp_playroom/release -r 2 --use_decoupled_appearance

Any help on how to resolve this?

mawenjie1111 commented 3 weeks ago

I have same question. what gpu or cuda you use? my cuda 11.3 gpu is L20

nvslam commented 3 weeks ago

My GPU is Nvidia RTX 5000 Ada. CUDA 11.3.

nvslam commented 3 weeks ago

I resolve this issue by switching to cuda 11.8 and corresponding torch. the following command is are what I used.

conda create -y -n gof2 python=3.8
conda activate gof2
pip3 install torch torchvision torchaudio --index-url https://download.pytorch.org/whl/cu118

conda install senyan.dev::cudatoolkit-dev
nvcc --version
pip list
pip install -r requirements.txt

pip install submodules/diff-gaussian-rasterization
pip install submodules/simple-knn/
cd submodules/tetra-triangulation
conda install cmake
conda install conda-forge::gmp
conda install conda-forge::cgal
cmake .
pip install -e .

make sure the cuda version (nvcc -- version) is 11.8 under your conda environment.
