Wallets will sometimes fail to switch networks, causing users to send a bridge tx to the wrong network. In the case of bridge transactions, this causes the client to leave them in a “pending” state.
The client souls automatically recover from this situation (possibly after a timeout?) so that the user can resubmit the claim to the correct network.
