Version test - why? #2

Hi, I just found your WSJT-X controller. It's no problem, but I wonder why you test the version of WSJT-X and insist that it should be 2.3.0/154? I am asking because I am working on a program that is a little bit similar in function to jtAlert. I was trying to find if there's any difference in the UDP messages schema between the versions. Unfortunately, I found references to only one document explaining schema and it is dated back to the times of WSJX-X 2.0. Can you, please, let me know ar you checking the version just as a precaution or you have a reason to do it. If it's the latter, can you give me the link(s) to relevant documents? BTW, at first glance, there are a few features of your program which seem very promising to me, so I'll take some serious time checking it out on the air.

Sorry for bugging you with non relevant question. I was not thorough while reading your doc, so I did not notice that your program requires modified WSJT-X
