Google Chrome Extensions #470

This is an enhancement

Arora could support Google Chrome Extensions, as they are written in html, js
and also run
under webkit in Google Chrome.

Ofcource Chrome Extensions are not yet ready, but this could be a vision of the
future of Arora
Extensions.

Actually, I don't think Chrome extensions "run under WebKit" so much as they
run under
the (as yet unfinished) Chrome Extensions system. So even though Arora has
HTML and
Javascript, Arora also being based on WebKit isn't directly helpful to being
able to
support Chrome extensions.

When I said "run under WebKit" I was trying to say that they are rendered by
webkit and not by some
other rendering engine.

But it is if you expect your extension (html, js, svg, etc) to look and act the
same as in Chrome...

What about Google Gears - could it be implemented/supported in Arora? It would
enable offline usage of some web applications (gmail, gcal) and speed up some
others
(like wordpress).

Supporting chrome extensions, as I read the documentations, are not too simple
thing
to do. It's not just "html+javascript+css"...There are several different
contexts,
which communicates with message passing, and attached to different pages,
browser
places (toolstrips, etc).
But it can be implemented, with enough time, and devotion :)
