This usually happens when Generate ButterKnife Injection is run for the first time. The dialog for view selection is shown below the main window of Android Studio/IntelliJ IDEA. The dialog behaves normally in subsequent generations.
@tomas-vondracek Setting setAlwaysOnTop to the JFrame wouldn't do the trick?
This dialogue does not behave normally in subsequent generations for me. I am on Android Studio 1.5.1.
