I think this is related to registry entry for the path on that setup. I will
look at
win7 64 bit once I have it installed.

I believe I solved this in the new RC release. I am assuming you had guild wars
copies installed to "Program Files (x86)" folder. This causes gw registry
writes/reads to go to the Win6432Node in the registry. The launcher registry
setting
function has been updated to look for this special 32-bit node inside 64-bit
windows
as well.

Running it as admin is required though for it to actually be able to write to
this
node. I recommend moving your Guild Wars copies out of this folder such as to
C:\Games. You should just be able to do a directory move with explorer. After
moving
it out, be sure to double click on one of the gw.exe files to setup new registry
path. It also might be good to use "regedit" to delete the old gw key located
at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Win6432Node\ArenaNet
