1920x1080p HiDPI doesn't do anything when I select it #43

Not sure what I'm doing incorrectly, I've disabled csrutil and followed these instructions but nothing happens when I attempt to change to 1920x1080 HiDPI.

I also tried 960x540 hidpi and it doesn't work either.

Every other mode works.

I'm using this LG monitor.

I'm seeing a similar issue with this AOC monitor. It's native 2560x1440 but won't switch to 1280x720 HiDPI. There are a couple others it won't hit but there are also some it will hit that are HiDPI. I'm guessing the maintainers have moved on from this project but wanted to post this here in case it's helpful or if anyone has found a solution.

I don't suppose there's a place to find logs, is there?

I also tried SwitchResX and Displays and had the same issue with both of them. That either means there's something that outright prevents macOS from using certain resolutions on certain monitors or it means that those programs and RDM have some of the same code :)

Same thing happening with my new Dell S2721DGF... can't change to 1920x1080 hidpi. It's worked on all previous Dell models, wonder what has changed.
