[Script]: Predicting Gold Prices

Aim

The project aims to develop a predictive model for forecasting gold prices using neural networks. Gold prices are influenced by various factors, including stock market performance, oil prices, currency exchange rates, and other economic indicators. By leveraging historical data and machine learning techniques, we can create a model that predicts future gold prices based on these factors.

Details

Methodology:

• Data Collection: Obtain historical gold price data along with relevant features such as stock market index (SPX), oil prices (USO), currency exchange rates (EUR/USD).
• Data Preprocessing: Clean the data, handle missing values, and perform feature scaling using techniques like MinMaxScaler.
• Feature Selection: Select the most relevant features for predicting gold prices based on domain knowledge and exploratory data analysis.
• Neural Network Model Development: Utilize the TensorFlow and Keras libraries to create a neural network model with multiple layers, incorporating activation functions such as ReLU and linear regression for the output layer.
• Model Training and Evaluation: Split the data into training and testing sets, train the model using the training set, and evaluate its performance on the testing set using appropriate metrics.
• Interpretation and Insights: Analyze the model's feature importance to gain insights into the key factors influencing gold prices.
