occassional flipping normal tiles with "Downloading" spinner

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start andnav and get GPS fix.
2. Manually zoom to 400m/cm resolution.
3. Observe that at some random moment (couple minutes later) normal tiles
for no reason are randomly and continuously are replaced with "Downloading"
spinner for a second and then showing the actual tile for another second.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The tiles remain shown properly.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
andnav2 (SVN:2010-01-27) android 1.5 (cupcake) on
android-on-freerunner-cupcake-daily-20091216.tar.bz2

Please provide any additional information below.
The flipping stops if I switch to a higher or lower resolution, but not for
long.
The problem tends to appear on low resolutions only.

The problem might appear only on slow devices, such and FreeRunner. Could be the
tiles retrieval mechanism has short timeout for the tile to be extracted from 
the
storage?

Do not think it is a slow device pb it occurs on the Nexus...
