I came here looking for this as well. I suggest having ~snapshot excluded by default (with the option to include) to help out users.

I would like to see this feature as well. I find WinDirStat very useful, but there are things I would prefer to hide from the analysis -- like the 16G pagefile that Windows stores in the root of my C drive.
Thanks for a great utility.

I've been using WinDirStat to scan a network share that has a hidden location that takes snapshots of files near constantly. WinDirStat will scan the entire share... but will never conclude or stop the scan because ~snapshot is continually updating. It gets stuck continuously scanning and never displays the TreeMap. Ultimately I just have to close it and go cry in my pillow. Is there any way or could there be a way included to exclude specific folders in WinDirStat to avoid this issue? Thanks, -Joshua
