1) Make project compilable with latest version of Android Studio 2) Migrate to AndroidX 3) Update link on Google Play in ReadMe

I missed this PR -- thanks for submitting!

Can you merge or rebase with latest master to run CI on this? Looks like the repo's Travis broke with the EOL of travis-ci.org
