Casambi API cost structure #9

When requesting an API key from Casambi support, I got the following:

Please note that although the API service is currently free of charge, we do intend to implement a cost structure later this year.

Do you have an idea if this plugin can remain free to use when API usage is billed?

Unfortunatelly I don't have any more information.

I'm hoping that it will have different tiers with limits on how many API calls can be made or how many networks can be logged into. It would be great if there was a free tier for one small network for example, that would probably be enough for most people using my plugin. Casambi could then make money with higher end tiers sold to companies making products interacting with the API behind the scenes.

We'll have to wait and see. Maybe lets keep this issue open until then?

Sounds good to me. I had reached out regarding a free tier and will report back when I hear more.

From my latest contact with Casambi support: "From 1st July 2022, a cost structure will be put in place for our API service and it will no longer be free of charge. Unfortunately, I'm unable to give you any idea of the costs at this point, though."
