I actually had this problem after having removed the Synaptics driver. All I
had to
do was to reinstall it and enable the two fingers gestures.

As with many other folks, I get this issue and it's because my Vaio has an Alps
touchpad and not Syntaptic, I guess? Can the error message be made more
meaningful?
Can Alps be supported?

I have a solution for this problem. The two-finger-scroll app requires the
usage of modded drivers for certain touchpads. You can download the required
drivers here: http://depositfiles.com/files/0fanzebr4

You can install the driver using the manage-option by right-cliking my computer.

It worked like a charm at least for me!

This error is because you haven't installed the Syntaptic TouchPad Driver.
Install it from your Computer Provider's site and then restart, then run Two
Finger Scroll.
Please +1 me if this helps :)

Nope, installing Synaptic's drivers didn't help.

Windows 8 Consumer Preview if that matters.
