Firefox? I do not have it and it still works. Autogenerte built the defaults with Chrome for me.

Exceeding expectations! That's great to hear. Firefox has been the default browser for the past two years, but has had some specific version requirements that's been confusing people ( I didn't copy that info over from the old documentation to the new). If you're getting Chrome to work out-of-the-box with the generate-autoconfig command, that's really good news.

I'm going to take a look at the phantom documentation today, and make sure that's up to date also.
