make markdown readme play nice with PyPI #2

I'm using the same README.md for both the github repo and the package uploaded to PyPI (as long_description in setup.py). Github loves markdown. PyPI does not, so the description looks ugly.

looks like this should work -- use pandoc and pypandoc to convert markdown to restructured text: http://stackoverflow.com/a/26737672/4280216
