Both tools aim to bring GitHub Actions to the local environment, albeit with different approaches and feature goals. gale aims to offer a programable GitHub Actions environment for complex workflows.

gale utilizes the Dagger CI/CD engine to orchestrate workflows, which brings a series of benefits:

faster execution, times compared to actual Github Action Workflow
cache support, enhances efficiency by supporting caching, which can potentially reduce the time taken to run repetitive tasks.
remote execution, with remote dagger engine configuration it's possible to run local workflow on remote machines
programable environment, it's possible to extend or customize execution environment.

Currently, 'gale' is in active development and only supports a limited scope as an early 'alpha' release.

tbf, I faced some bugs with Act too, tho I'm not an expert on using Act. Is there any good first issue that I can help with?
