Salary Expectation

$600+ for junior developer
$1200+ for mid-level developer

About us

CodeLink is an innovative and design focused development studio made up of an international mix of Designers and Developers. We use the cutting edge technologies to help start-ups launch their products as rapidly as possible, adapting to change and staying ahead of the market. Our main stacks are Rails, ReactJS / ReactNative and NodeJS.

We choose Rails because it is quick to convert ideas to realities thanks to its mature ecosystem and abstraction. Rails has RSpec as a sidekick to ensure software quality and maintainability of ever changing business requirements.

We choose React and React Native because of the "learn once, write anywhere" approach. Our engineers can comfortably develop apps for web, iOS and Android using the same skills and mindsets.

We choose NodeJS / ExpressJS because of its flexibility and the common use of Javascript.

Redux, Observables, ImmutableJS, FlowType, Jest, GraphQL , Docker... are the technologies we practice daily.

Requirements

Require minimum of 1 year of experience (mobile, web).
Require Git, Github and Pull Request knowledge.
Require solid Front-End knowledge in Javascript and/or HTML/CSS.
Require relevant knowledge of relational database systems like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
Familiar with web technologies like REST API, security, performance etc.
Familiar with deployment, scaling, monitoring and performance tuning.
Familiar with Agile Process and Scrum Methodologies.
Familiar with Extreme Programming methodologies of TDD (Test Driven Development), Refactoring and Continuous Integration.
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

Responsibilities

Work on rapidly creating new Web and Mobile products for a diverse range of Clients and industries.
Work and pair with other developers to build applications with the stacks mentioned above.
Actively involved in product discussions and Sprint Planning.
Work with Product Owner to convert business requirements into technical designs.
Cooperate with UI Designer to implement modern minimalist designs into production.
Learn new languages and frameworks to improve yourself and stay current in an ever-changing environment.
Contribute to the local Tech Ecosystem by mentoring, writing articles and joining events.

Interesting engineering projects

You will be working on startup projects in different industries. We encourage our engineers to experiment and apply new technologies as long as they make sound business sense. Some of the challenging projects include:

A FinTech project built with ReactJS and React Native on the frontend. Due to the sheer scope of the project, we apply ESlint, Flow Type and Jest test to make sure it can scale. You have to push the boundary of React Native in order to implement some UI and UX requirements. The backend uses micro-service architecture with strict requirements on security and extensibility: end-to-end encryption, data-sharding, platform-independent architecture to name a few.
An online CV editing tool built with Rails and React/Redux. One of the challenges is to use templates from the DB to control React components. Sleek UI and responsiveness are key requirements because of the front-end heavy feature set of an editor. We have a chance to experiment new rendering techniques with React and Redux.
