Bug with Impress

Output of awesome --version:

awesome v4.0-245-g1c712603 (Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger)
 • Compiled against Lua 5.3.4 (running with Lua 5.3)
 • D-Bus support: ✔
 • execinfo support: ✔
 • xcb-randr version: 1.5
 • LGI version: 0.9.2

How to reproduce the issue:

• start awesomewm, no custom configuration, no compositor or anything else.
• start Libreoffice Impress (loimpress) with GTK theming enabled (export SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gtk)
• insert a 2nd slide into a new presentation (the 2nd slide will be focused)
• change to the 1nd slide, by clicking on it in the left sidebar
• click on the 2nd slide in the left sidebar again

Actual result:

Nothing happens, the click is ignored

Expected result:

The 2nd slide should be focused.

Remarks

• Using SAL_USE_VCLPLUGIN=gen does not seem to have this issue.
• Other window managers (tested xfwm4 and xmonad) do not seem to have this issue.
• Only the first click is ignored, clicking a 2nd time sets the correct focus
• LibreOffice version: LibreOffice 6.0.1.1 00m0(Build:1), bug also exists in 6.0
• GTK version: GTK 3.22
• Upon the first click, the mouse cursor turns into the "Drag & Drop" cursor (hand). This should only happen upon holding the mouse button.
• The bug also works with more slides of course, appears when selecting the previously selected slide.

Hm, seems to be fixed in awesome 4.2 ....
