Specific to the Advanced Recurring add-on initiative, but also relevant to Calendar views, Sugar Calendar core will need some functions to help determine if a year-month-day combination is the first-fifth day of its week.
For example, the Third Friday, Fourth Tuesday, or Fifth Monday of any given month & year.
Related to this, Advanced Recurring will need to know if a day is the last of the month. I.E. the final Sunday of a month.
We don't need more than this for now, though it's plausible we would want to calculate backwards from the end eventually. I.E. the second-to-last Thursday of November. But this is out-of-scope, for now.
