Generating simulated microstructures #13

We do not have sufficient number of real samples to be statistically significant for structure property linkages.
Tentative ideas for generating microstructures:

Keep diameter constant 30 um
Use knowledge from real samples such as:
- volume fraction
- fiber orientation
- fiber length distribution
- fiber locations
- curvature of fibers

Script for simulating microstructures needs to be developed. The output should be able to be input to FEM software for establishing properties.

@tonyfast This is the result of our recent meeting with Dr. Kalidindi. What tools would you suggest we use for generating microstructures?

Geet is going to start working on how to generate synthetic microstructures while I continue to work on extracting knowledge from the samples that we have.

Okay. Good to know.

With that, I don't know how to help Geet. I haven't performed reconstructions in a very longer time. I feel like you need to talk to David Turner if you can get a hold of him.

What do we need to be doing on this? I designed a filter that gives diagonal lines. It is now in the Ms Generator file. @glahoti6
