Vestige of early CSDMS. At least they got me to name the function "main"! Perhaps I should get rid of it -- now that I have it better-designed to work without the input file as well. This is in gflex.py.

Was old CSDMS Python interface for IRF, etc. -- precursors to CMI/BMI. Removed. Now BMI-compliant.
