AWS Amplify Domain Management: Cannot redirect to custom domain #3932

Description

I would like to use a custom domain (https://zephyr.ethz.ch) for my web app. However, I repeatedly get the following error:

Reaching out to the IT team of ethz.ch, I get the following response:

Our DNS specialist is also of the opinion that a CAA record for zephyr.ethz.ch makes no sense, as the CAA of ethz.ch already allows "amazontrust.com".

It seems like there's not much ethz.ch can do here. Shouldn't Amplify look at the parent domain during the CAA check? Any help or clarification is much appreciated.

Thanks in advance! Michael

Hi @mjaehn -- Looks like you are having a technical issue with your custom domain. For support, please open a technical support case with AWS, check out the linked troubleshooting guide or try to find answers in our community run DIscord. (discord.gg/amplify).

Thank you!
