The requirement is to request AWS Amplify support in Cape Town region. Currently, it's not supported.

We have been using amplify for over 4 years for our https://whiteboard.chat service. We have a requirement to have this service be available for students/teachers in Africa so we want to port it there. Can you please let us know a timeline when Cape Town can be supported. Thank you!

Thanks for this. Expanding to this region is not on our 2024 roadmap. We are already in 18 regions, so there may be another option that is closet to your users

It is not the closeness that matters but the jurisdiction of data. For legal purposes it needs to be in Africa. Can you please give us an alternate or a timeline when this can be supported?
