Improve autogenerated Elixir docs formatting

The idea is to improve the docs we generate for each module and function.

Some improvements are:

• split the first sentence from the rest;
• remove unnecessary HTML from the docs;
• fix broken markdown links;
• use markdown lists instead of HTML lists.
