AHA is an incident management & communication framework to provide real-time alert customers when there are active AWS event(s). For customers with AWS Organizations, customers can get aggregated active account level events of all the accounts in the Organization. Customers not using AWS Organizations still benefit alerting at the account level.

Question - AHA vs AWS User Notifications #87

Not an issue, but rather a question.

Correct me if I'm wrong, with the launch of AWS User Notifications in 2023, it seems the need for this solution has largely been superseded by that native service which provides out-of-the-box and simple setup to getting AWS Health alerts?

Different use cases.

Different use cases.

Sorry I'm confused, what's the difference?

From the README:

AWS Health Aware (AHA) is an automated notification tool for sending well-formatted AWS Health Alerts to Amazon Chime, Slack, Microsoft Teams, E-mail or an AWS Eventbridge compatible endpoint as long as you have Business or Enterprise Support.

That's exactly what AWS User Notifications does https://aws.amazon.com/notifications/

Hi folks, I wanted to clarify a few points in this discussion.

If you’re considering both options, I would recommend exploring AWS User Notifications first. As a native AWS service, User Notifications provides similar capabilities to AHA, seamlessly integrates with your AWS environment and is continuously evolving to offer enhanced functionalities.
