install-autoshutdown-server-extension bug? #10

Hi,

We have been using the install-autoshutdown-server-extension since inception and we are consistently observing a bug where if the jupyter app that the extension is installed into sits idle for a couple of (5?) days (not used by our data scientists for whatever reason), once it becomes active again it aggressively start shutting down new kernels that the data scientists are starting up. The fix to this is to shutdown the jupyter app and the problem goes away but it's quite annoying.

This problem does not occur if the jupyter server is used on a daily basis and it seem the long time of idleness build up. Has anyone else observed this behaviour?

Hi, we've not noticed this behavior - can you confirm you're using the latest version of the extension? If not, can you pull the latest LCC script and let us know if you're still observing this behavior?

Closing due to inactivity, please use the latest tarfile and LCC script, and let us know if this issue occurs anymore.
