Add text about LTS (Long Term Support) release for upcoming release in README

Did we add new features warranting 1.0.0 to 1.1.0 version change instead of 1.0.1? My understanding of semantic version schema is that we change x.y.z based on the following: x => Incompatible API Changes y => New Features but compatible API changes z => Bug Fixes

Yes, there are backward compatible API updates (about which information is present here)
