I was looking at seeing what it would take to use AWS App Mesh with Argo Rollouts. Argo rollouts has support for SMI.

Any chance this is picking up steam and is going to be looked at?

This feature request is now accepted in our aws-app-mesh-roadmap and we will start researching it soon.
