Proton plugins for Backstage are now available! Blog: https://aws.amazon.com/blogs/containers/provisioning-infrastructure-using-the-aws-proton-open-source-backstage-plugin/ Repo: https://github.com/awslabs/aws-proton-plugins-for-backstage
We're exploring use cases for a Proton plugin in Backstage and what that could look like. Backstage is an open source project for building internal developer portals. At a high-level, with Proton + Backstage, Backstage acts as your internal developer portal for creating new applications, cataloging applications and documentation, and centralizing your developer tools into a single UI. Proton would integrate with Backstage to standardize infrastructure and pipeline configuration, so that your developers don't have to keep things like CloudFormation and Terraform templates up-to-date in their source code repos.
A specific proposal with examples is open for comments as a GitHub issue in the Backstage repo.
