To do so, temporarily add Shift's fork to the repositories property of your composer.json:

    ]
}

Then update your dependency constraint to reference this branch:

    "require": {
        "aws/aws-sdk-php-laravel": "dev-l8-compatibility",

}

Finally, run: composer update
