There have been several requests from customers to add Ruby support to the toolkit. This issue acts as a tracking feature to gauge interest.

Yes please.

Any progress on this? Installed the toolkit into Rubymine, and the only available runtime available in the new project dialog under AWS Serverless Application is node.js. The support for Ruby as the base language for Lambda functions in AWS is great, but then combined with the AWS Toolkit for Rubymine seemed very promising.

I don't mean to give y'all a hard time - but it's really confusing when you install a plugin into a Ruby IDE, but you can't figure out why the dialog won't let you pick a Ruby runtime. Even more so when you come to the plugin with the knowledge that the thing you're trying to build (ie AWS Lambda function) supports Ruby.

As per the title of this issue, debugging support would be nice, but just being able to use a Ruby runtime would be useful.

Any more on this? There is no ruby2.5 or 2.7 support at all.
