EC2 Image Builder currently only has support for building AMIs for Windows and Amazon Linux 2. This item tracks the work required to add support for 4 new Linux distros namely RHEL 7 and 8, CentOS 7 and 8, SLES 15, and Ubuntu 16 and 18.
