What would you like to be added:

[ ] Extract the whole containerd config to a separate template so we can reuse it in different providers and also test it independently.
[ ] Standalone template for registry mirror and mirror map cleanup
[ ] Add registry mirror cert to registrymirror.RegistryMirror and possibly credentials as well
[ ] CAPI change to support multiple registry mirrors for bottlerocket

Why is this needed:

Any traction on this? It is more often than not on eks anywhere being a onprem and edge solution that mirroring private registry is a common occurrence, bottlerocket OS is the native and natural choice, without this feature there is a downside that can become major when using EKSA and Bottelrocket OS on large scale scenarios.

An ETA or considerations around the feature would be greatly appreciated.
