Exercise 2.2 Cost Estimate Significantly Different #57

Using my newly created AWS acount, I performed exercise 2.2 using the AWS Pricing Calculator, which involves adding a S3 service and EC2 service. Step 7 of the exercise states "You should see a Total Upfront cost toward the bottom of the screen in the $35,000 range." My result had $0.00 upfront cost and an annual cost of about $13,000. I don't know if this indicates I did something wrong (although I cannot find my mistake) or something else. I am definitely using the correct region. There are a lot of service options for both services that I left at default values because I only changed the options specified in the exercise.

I am using the second edition of the book in a Kindle app.

I'm sure you did nothing wrong. Step seven should have first said something like "Click the View summary button at the bottom of the page" before the estimate would appear. Step eight has that instruction, but it should also have been in step seven.
