Create .net implementation #147

Sorry if this is the wrong place to file this - but what is the roadmap for providing a .net implementation of the AWS Encryption SDK? This seems like a significant gap, compared to the other language support. I saw a message on a forum/issue somewhere, several years ago, saying that it was "on the roadmap". Without SDK, .net developers will implement poorer encryption strategies.

Hi @lyricnz

I can confirm that the AWS Encryption SDK for .NET is still on our roadmap! However, I can’t provide roadmap dates as projects can often become delayed due to internal or external factors, and if a delay is announced after a date has been provided, it can create issues.

I recognize implementing cryptography is difficult and the AWS Encryption SDK is a useful resource for many organizations. If your need is urgent, please consider using an alternative language implementation.

In the meantime, I will keep this issue open to track this request for a .NET implementation. This issue will be updated once we have news we can share.
