Email functionality - Notification to tenant with onboarding details

An option to email tenants on a successful onboarding flow with login details and customs messages, which can be managed and customized by the system user/admin such as custom message, details to be included in the email, when to trigger, and its delivery status.

Use Case

• To notify tenants (main or admin user) with login credentials (URL, username, and password), tier details, and any custom message on successful onboarding
• To notify tenants during application updates, new features, and any license renewal-related details

Proposed Solution

Having an option under each tenant for this process will be preferred, to make sure onboarding is successful or details can be validated before triggering any email and also see the status of each message as in the log.

Thank you @tomg-formpak. Great suggestion. We had this as an original feature possibility and agree it would be valuable. I would like to hear more details from the community on what specifically would be useful. Some thoughts off the top of my head:

• A simpler notification mechanism back to the SaaS Boost owner so they can manage customer contact with their own tooling instead of SaaS Boost sending the emails. Email and SPAM are complicated.
• Templates/variables would have to be thought through so you could implement some kind of "mail merge" like functionality to personalize the subject/message
• Opt-in/Opt-out mechanisms?
• This would require us to capture a "notification" email address for each tenant during onboarding
• Retries? Bounces?
• Amazon SES is not available in all regions
• I think this would requires a custom domain for SES and for the SES account to be out of the sandbox stage
