[x] Fix climatology period manually enter year
[x] Entering negative numbers in the spatial subsetting bbox selection does not work
[ ] Validation period is set to the maximum whenever the dataset configuration changes, even when a different period was chosen before that is still valid
[ ] Validation settings loading does (sometimes?) not work correctly for validation period

Both bugs will be fixed with the stability metrics branch

@wpreimes if there is nothing else? can we close this issue? or should we keep it opened for the future bugs?

when you merge the changes into the master branch you can mark the issue to be resolved
