github is really just a backup repo, which is why releases generally aren't done in the GH style. But if it makes folks life easier, it's not a big deal to do it, it's just more manual work. I added the basic release notes and 2.5 should be marked as the latest now too.

👋 while we are trying to bump the formula to the latest release, we found that the release did not get marked the latest release. While checking further, I found that the release notes was only added into 2.4. So raise this issue to confirm what would the practice for the future tags (this would affect whether we need to add livecheck practices, either just check the new tags, which is default strategy, or check the marked latest github releases). Thanks!
