Negative. Pwned DFU = Device Firmware Update mode. Your phone isn’t in a state to even ssh into

DoggoGaming1 commented 4 years ago

damn. Ok then i have a new question is it possible to downgrade an iphone 4 from 7.1.2 to 6.0 Without SHSH Blobs

KillaBoi commented 4 years ago

iPhone 4's have a bootrom exploit so it should be possible to do it already.

DoggoGaming1 commented 4 years ago

then im confused i have looked everywhere to no avail? do you have any recommendations to read upon? P.S Not Pulivia (I have Iphone 4 on ios 7.1.2)

Limera1n and SHAtter will already work on the A4, and many CFWs have been made over the past decade. Check out redsn0w or sn0wbreeze.

A more interesting question would be if Checkm8 actually functions on A4 devices as well, or if it coincidentally was introduced in the same A5 lineup that patched limera1n.

Merculous commented 4 years ago

The answer is yes, and no. You can tether boot custom ipsw's. But limera1n nor SHAtter are untethered like 24Kpwn and alloc8. This means that no iPhone 4 and their counterparts can you downgrade untethered without shsh blobs.

Please check #67 and close this issue.

That has nothing to do with A4 devices but whatever. I do think this should be closed because I've already answered the question for everyone.

Yes, it seems this question has been generously answered. I was referring to this section of that issue:

Please don't ask if it will work in device X or device Y. It is up to developers to make it work.
