Workshop pre-work

We’re aiming to be flexible to support a wide range of users and experience, so we’re enabling self-support or guided options in this "buildathon style" training.
The main requirement prior to the onsite is to have Unity installed and set up as its quite a big download.
The Wednesday virtual workshop (3 to 6pm ET) is optional if you want to get started earlier. The invite will be posted here in the Announcements issue.
I’ll also be onsite on Sunday at the hotel if you need a hand.

Unity installation and version

We'll be using Unity as the 3D IDE for the training. Once you have received your Unity account, it needs to be installed before the class to avoid long download times!

See https://axoverse.io/docs/developer/unity/install/ for a guide to installing Unity. Note the section on installing a specific version of Unity.

Note The specific Unity version we'll be using is here -

Unity version:    Unity 2021.3.9

Schedule

Now until March 19th - Setup, self-paced learning and building prior to the onsite session.
March 15th - 3pm to 6pm ET - Virtual Zoom session (optional) – installation and getting started
- Invite to be sent to you directly after check-in.
March 19th – onsite assistance at the hotel – 11am to 6pm.
March 20th – onsite training & development session – morning or afternoon depending on your booking.
March 21st to 23rd – Offline iteration (optional).
March 23rd – Demos, judging and winner announcement (optional).
