Materials don't Apply #35

Hello , I reinstalled csk few time but materials don't apply automatically , can anyone help ? I am importing 30 kinds of grass but none of them have materials applied to it , nothing that I import from bridge has material applied to it

Hi Talosae,

Thanks for reminding me. When I wrote this importer Megascans only had FBX files and I forgot to add material assignment once they added Alembic files.

I've updated the kit and if you download the new zip and install it, then it should overwrite the older installation and you should be good to go.

Hello , thank you for quick update , but sadly now importer doesn't start from clarisse, I tried to start it manually from root folder and it works but still no materials are applied :( Should I reinstall clarisse ? (I am using Clarisse 5.0 sp8)

I didn't change anything except the ABC handling for Megascans. I'm also on SP8, but I don't have any issues. Do you get an errors? You can click on the bottom statusbar to open the log. If there are any errors I'd like to know. If there are none then try the following:

Delete the .csk folder in C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Isotropix
There might be some pycache files conflicting. Delete the clarisse survival kit folders in the site packages folder. If you installed Python37 for the current user(the default setting) then you can find both folders in C:\Users\YOUR_USERNAME\AppData\Local\Programs\Python\Python37\Lib\site-packages
Reinstall the survival kit again
