X keyboard layout not applied on some machines #20

In .xinitrc, we set the keyboard layout to the installed ayekat layout. However, on phobia (my stationary machine), I end up with an en_US layout and have to manually setxkbmap the right layout.

Need to check why the layout is not properly loaded on phobia (but is on chirschi).

It is properly loaded if adding a small delay.

I'm generally still puzzled by X applications that need a delay even as they are started in .xinitrc—isn't the X server supposed to be already running at that point?
