Search -> stat doesn't Work

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Installed and deployed the most recent(as on 12th Jan '10) version.
2. After regeistering anew (new registration). Go to search stats
3. Searching by the year returns empty results.
4. Only entries in personal_worktype show up in search results
5. Newregistration
page(http://127.0.0.1:8083/home/getmyaccount/newuser/1.html) doesn't use
the values from "nature of work". Hence personal_worktype is not updated

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected: Search should yield results.
behaviour: Empty results

Thanks for this Dhushyanth.

Are you saying that the search needs a non-empty value of personal_worktype, and
since the MGL upload does not create it so, those names are not shown?

Search function fixed. The relevant change was part of r185.
