Is bootcamp useable? #9

Hello,

is it possible to use bootcamp with this firmware? I heard that there could be some issues with it. I haven't tried it yet tho..

Haven't tried. As far as Mac OS X is concerned, this FPGA config makes the system look like an 820-2936 from a graphics perspective. This is why brightness control works. That signal is present on the PCH, it's just not fanned out on the 2849/50. If it doesn't work, you could try flashing 2936's EFI. This would in theory change the ACPI tables so the system presents as a 2936 to Windows.
