Note not syncing #145

Open tgsell opened 7 years ago

Hi

Starting MyOwnNotes for the first time, I am not able to login to my OwnCloud account. It seems, that MyOwnNotes (or some API function from the OwnCloud app) is providing the wrong username for the initial login.

It looks like USERNAME@owncloud.DOMAIN.NAME is used instead of just USERNAME, which does not work with my OwnCloud setup. This could for example be easily solved, if the username could be set/altered manually.

Thx

You need the ownCloud application for Android for authenication

Note to myself: This info is currently in the fdroid repo and should be added to the github repo readme as well

yes, I have version 2.0 from fDroid installed on my phone.

But I just found out, that I forgot to enable the firewall settings in AFWall for MyOwnNotes... sorry, my mistake. Everything works fine now.

The only thing which might be improved, is the error message. It is somehow miss-leading. It says username or password incorrect, but actually there was no connectivity.

You can close this ticket.

New issue, I have now been able to log in.

But after creating a first note, it always says "There was a connection error." while trying to sync it. And after reconnecting MyOwnNotes the note is gone.

btw: ownCloud 9.1.4 no encryption android 6.0.1 Advanced Three v2.2

Did you create a folder named "Notes" in the topmost directory? That seems to be necessary, otherwise you will get the "connection" error...
