Crash when rotating the screen while saving to SD card #683

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Select a GPS track that would take some time to write to SD card
2. Export to SD card (I tried with GPX, KML, TCX)
3. Rotate the screen while the writing is in progress

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

MyTracks crashes or hangs, on IllegalArgumentException. The message said 
something about failure to display a window.

What version of MyTracks are you using? On what version of Android? On what
phone?

MyTracks 1.1.11 on Android 2.3.4 (SonyEricsson Xperia Active ST17i)

If possible please provide a log.  Either upload here or send to mytracks-
support@google.com.

I tested this again in MyTracks 1.1.13. If the screen is rotated before hitting 
OK in the dialog box “successfully saved to SD card”, MyTracks will hang or 
crash.

I have experienced the same problem for many weeks. I thought the crash was 
random, but have narrowed it down to changing the screen orientation during 
export to SD card, as described above. 

My Tracks 1.1.15
HTC Explorer A310b
Android 2.3.5 

I get the error "The application My Tracks (process 
com.google.android.maps.mytracks) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again." 

If I try to report the log I get another crash message regarding Google Play, 
so sorry I can't do that.
