Mobile view?: Reduce size of hamburger menu and logo

The mobile view on shyp.com does not resize the hamburger menu or logo. Implemented for desktop version, just like shyp.com

When we agreed to do it like Shyp, we were not meaning to do their mistakes. The resize is actually more important on the mobile than on the desktop. Even more important than the resize is the fact that we have the white bar that avoid the logo and the hamburger to go over the text.

The size reducing of the logo and the hamburger menu has the following problems:

• the logo resizing is not responsive. There is a substantial delay from when you start scrolling down and it reduces
• the hamburger menu doesn't reduce in size

I noticed your comments above on logo and hamburger menu resizing and thought I'd chip in here with my experience of these matters:

• On logo resizing: There is a delay on the logo resizing, but I'm under the impression that this is deliberate - the noticeable logo resizing is always a little bit of a 'wow factor' for users so I would recommend we leave it in. If you would like it to start resizing a little higher up the page then I'm sure @minaorangina and @mk4111 can move this to half the time
• On hamburger menu resizing: It's not common for the hamburger menu to resize as it should (if it's built right) be the correct size for the nav bar on mobile already
  • This is mostly for accessibility reasons - if you think about the size of the area someone with slightly 'chunky' figures needs to hit to be able to activate that menu, the last thing you want to do is make navigating your website a difficult job! :smile:
  • If you think about the size of an icon on an iPhone or Android phone, these are optimised 'touch target' sizes
  • A good example of this is the shyp website - on mobile you can see that the hamburger menu doesn't resize

I don't want to seem boring but there is no change. If there is no way to have it as reactive as we have in the desktop, I propose to have it small from the beginning.

As we noticed yesterday, on IPHONE 6 and 6s, using google chrome browser, there are problems with the responsiveness of the logo resizing. Let's see if we can solve this problem. I guess there is someone within F&C that has an IPHONE 6 where you can test.
