No audio with HDMI #5

I've installed Android 6.0 and Android TV 6.0 and get no audio via HDMI.

I've tested other devices with the same HDMI cable and the work perfectly fine.

I tried RemixOS which uses android 5.1.1 and the audio works fine. So it seems to be an issue with Android 6.0 and higher.

I just installed Android 7 and confirm that audio does not work I will go back to Remix OS audio fine on HDMI there also video better on larger monitor.

I have the same problem. Sound over HDMI worked fine with RemixOS. Not on Android 6 TV build 6.0 1.0.2 build.

Same. Using android TV builds Android 5 worked , but none of the releases for 6.0, 7.0, or 7.1 have audio for me on mutliple TV with several different hdmi cables.

I tried the official Pine Android 6.0 build and there the same problem occured. However, by accident I found out that if I booted the Pine without my Rii i28 (multimedia keyboard with headphone jack) USB receiver, the audio would work, even after plugging in the USB receiver again.

I have not tried whether this holds true for the ayufan Android 6.0 build and might test this into the future. In the mean time I'm leaving this here, hoping it might solve problems for someone else.

Its works fine android 7 as well. All you have to change the default audio output in audio_policy.conf file
